Please, listen. Do you hear my voice as I pray to you? I have laid waste to friend and foe, trotting this path as I seek your hand. But now I am lost and unable to see the destiny you have chosen for me. Please, listen. Hear my plea as I call to you; please, tell me the truth.
What is it that you see in me? Why has my life come to this? To feel your grace, the warmth of your embrace; will I ever know my fate?
This faith that I have grown to cling to, is something I cannot define. It is not concrete, but something more divine. What is this I’m feeling? As I lay within the darkest days, it is this that lets me live? It is this that shines so bright; yet still, I do not know. My choices do not seem at all my own. I move forward, my will still free, yet my fate is already sealed before me. Who will I be?
What is it that you see in me? Why has my life come to this? To feel your grace, the warmth of your embrace; will I ever know my fate?
I have lost the will to fight, falling into the tides of this bright light; into the draft of your heavenly might. It is not in my power to read your mind, but it is within yours to know mine. As this bell tolls with freedom’s ring, I come to realize that perhaps I am as powerless as I should be. I call to you, heartfelt with wisdom, through pain endured and lessons learned, wishing that someday this would all be clear. How is it that I am here, on my knees and blinded by your light, unable to know what is truly right?
What is it that you see in me? Why has my life come to this? To feel your grace, the warmth of your embrace; will I ever know my fate?
Please, listen and answer me this. To know my duty is my only wish. I have sought justice through all odds, searching throughout every cause. Yet still, I cannot see the destiny you have chosen for me. All I want is to know this purpose; this answer that lies beneath the surface. As my fragile soul wanders and lays adrift, please guide it with your many gifts. For I do not want to be left broken within your words unspoken. Please, listen and speak to me so that I may someday know; How exactly will I glow?
